It Made My Day - as I wasn't having a good day to start with!
Can't wait to use it!

Favourite Class Hyden Retreat

I Know you shouldnt have favourites but this one speaks for itself I loved this class that much I managed to do two of them . When we first started this class it looked a bit daunting but once you got into the swing of it it is actually quite easy
Thanks Gail YOU ROCK...

Gail Smith Class-Cricut Class

Myself Linda and my mum (Sharon) once again went to the retreat which was well worth it yet again we had loads of fun renewed old acquaintencnces and learnt alot of diffrent techniques with The Cricut, Cuttlebug and the trusty sewing machine. So here they are the finished products

which look great, thanks to all our tutors Gayle Smith, Sharon Manning and Lis Cassey and of course the oraganiser Karen Smith without her dedication and passion these things would not be possible. THANKS TO ALL

Layouts - Show Entries

Here are three layouts that received a mention at the show this year!

Show Entry - Baby Album

Here are a couple of pages from the little album I entered into the Beyond The Page item at this years show! Won a third!

Esperance Show Results

This year I entered some items into the Esperance Show - the scrapbooking, photography,
cakes, and jams sections.
In photography I didn't enter very many photos, but received a third for a rural shot. Entered six different cakes (though had to re-cook a couple again because I didn't read the tin size instructions correctly, the family didn't mind eating my rejects!!!). In this section I did ok, with a first for ginger cake, and seconds for carrot and banana cake. Preserves section I entered lemon butters, melon jams and a strawberry jam. Received a first for my melon and ginger jam!
Finally scrapbooking section - was pleased how I went! A first for "Single Page Layout", a second and a third for "Double Page Layouts" and a third for "Beyond The Page" - a little haert shaped Baby Album!
Will post photos of the scrap entries above!

HYDEN RETREAT

Three of us attended Karen Smith's 7th Wave Rock- Hyden Retreat - Sharon (Kylie's mum), Kylie and Linda that was held last weekend. It was awesome and definitely better than last time! THANKS KAREN! Our tutors were Gayle Smith, Lis Cassey and Sharon Manning. See below some of my layouts completed. A couple not included - one wedding layout of myself and Graham that I completed after a tutorial given by Sharon on Wedding Album page layouts and assembly. Secondly an Off the Page mini album taught by Sharon also that I haven't finished yet.
We three ladies decided to stay the Sunday night after the retreat at the Hyden Motel where we dined at the restuarant having a delicious three course buffet for tea. This then proceeded with more scrapping in our rooms (inter-connecting).
Anyone that visits our blogspot - hope you enjoy looking!!!

School's In

This is another interesting layout using lined -patterned paper and lace cardstock. This also involved sewing on the sewing machine and craeting pockets to put school documents in behind the photos. I used a couple of photos from my school days (p.primary and year 7 photos)!

Sunset

Another layout taught to us by Sharon Manning. We used patterned paper and die-cut paper.Thought it turned out quite effective!

Camel Hunt

"Out and About" layout taught to us by Lis Cassey. I used 11 photos in this double page. We had to t create two photo blocks (8"x10"ea), one for each page. We used a ripping and stapling/sewing technique of the patterned papers!

Adore

This layout - "Ray Of Light" taught to us by Gayle Smith. We used the cuttlebug and scrolls folder. This was my favourite layout completed at the retreat!!
