My Shannyn is trying to grow up way too fast... spins me out that she is already conscious of fashion, hair nails and all that stuff... she is only 7

Sorry forgot to put the Babinda website on. It is www.scraptherapy.com.au
Linda
Hi Everyone,
Find below a couple of layouts of our trip, so far! We are having a rest in Cairns so will try to do a few layouts & put them on the blog! Today I visited a scrapbooking shop in Babinda, just south of Cairns, had a good time having a quick look through! The lady there has given me her website, so you girls can have a bit of a look at it!
Bye Linda

Lost City

Another layout, this one is of the Lost City, in the Litchfield National Park, NT. The sandstone outcrops and pillars look like a city ruin!

Lake Ballard

First layout of our trip! We have stopped for a week and half in Cairns, so am trying to do a few layouts of my photos!
Lake Ballard is near Menzies in WA.

Quick and easy

A great piece of Heidi Swapp paper that made this layout one of those quick and easy layouts just add photo scalloped paper and a rub on and a spot of journalling

Scrap night

I went to Dees on wednesday night as she has declared to all her family that on a wednesday night she is going out to her scrapping space to scrap. I took just the one photo and a large selection of my bits and came out with this layout which I quite like. I also helped Dee with some of her layouts when I had finished so I will have to nudge her about putting some on the blog

We are still scrapping...even if it is slowly!!

For Alexs birthday last year he wanted a pirate themed birthday. It was a good day but as usual it has taken me forever to scrap it, I think the reason I did it in the end was because I found some cool matching themed stickers it is still unfinished sort of because somewhere in my stash is a chipboard number 9 that I want to cover in the skull and crossbone paper and stick in the scalloped circle...on day maybe....lol

A Few Photos from Our Trip

After fighting with the laptop this morning to get some photos to upload, please find some photos of what we have seen or done on the trip so far!
We are in Broome for about five days at the moment! We have booked in to do some tours eg. Pearl farm tour, Cape Leveque trip in a 4wd safari thing and a camel ride. Also do a few local things and visit Malcolm Douglas's Crocodile park and go down to Gantheaume Point to look at the dinosaur fossil footprints!
Each night we plan to check out the beautiful sunsets!!!

Ant's At Work!

This we found on the side of the road between Port Hedland and Broome - created by the ants - quite artistic I thought! There were also giant ant hills in the area- noticed that their colours varied from pale brown to a rich red brown!

Sturt Desert Pea

Down in the Millstream/Chichester National Park (south of Roebourne) we found many varieties of flora! These can be found dotted along the road throughout the park!

Nature's Window

Near Kalbarri is this rock formation called Nature's Window. That is the Murchison River in the background! The scenery around here is lovely and the rocky cliffs and outcrops are amazing!

Stray Animals

We have encountered alot of stray and ferel animals along the way, especially north of Kalgoorlie and out west of Lienster towards Geraldton, then north out in the station country on the longer stretches between civilisation! Animals include cattle, sheep, wallabies, kangaroos, emus and heaps of ferel goats!!

Mine Tour

Graham in a tunnel at the underground mine tour at the Mining Hall of Fame! The tunnels are no more than 5 feet 6 inches high in most spots, so you had to duck to avoid hitting your head all the time!

Sunset

Well we are in Broome today and hope to stay for four or five days! Staying at Cable Beach Caravan Park, we are only a short walk from the beach! Check this out - the sunsets on Cable Beach are just beautiful! This one was taken this evening!!!
We are off on two pearl tours tomorrow - a combo package, so am looking forward to that! Friday we are going up to Cape Leveque on a one day tour, we were going to take ourselves up there and camp in the back of the ute, but decided to spoil ourselves. Graham needs a rest from driving.
Saturday we are off on a sunset camel ride along Cable Beach, maybe we will witness another beautiful sunset!??
Missing you all!

My experiment

After coming back from Hyden I decided to do an experiment with how many layers of different elements you could get away with before it got to much. My started with cardstock then added a layer of paint, a layer of fabric, then some easter egg foils, a layer of loose weave fabric stuff then matted photos the centre one has a journalling pocket then finally the lettering which came to a grand total of 8 layers and I reckon it doesn't look too bad either

Westminster Abbey

A double page layout of Westminster Abbey, that I visited late last year! There were several photos taken of parts of the building and surrounds and then pieced together to form this image!
