I visited my grand-daughter Mischa on the weekend. over in Dunsborough! I hadn't seen her for five months. She is three years old now!

Sidestep Card- male version

Tonight I attended a Stampin' Up card making class and was taught a technique - to measure, score, cut and fold one side of the card as a concertina! Here is the male birthday version and below the female version. Both quite effective.

Summertime Fun

One of my Christmas presents was from my friend Kylie (I miss her), a scrapbooking page kit! I managed to complete it this afternoon. It involved making all your own embellishments from thick card and double-sided patterned papers ( used from the "A Day At The Beach" range - Beach Bursts & Beach Party). Also 'pen stitching' around all the bits including the blue frame card and main background sheet! Photos are of my grand-daughter Mischa, now just over three years old, taken at the beach at Geographe Bay!

Countdown Calendar

Today at scrap, Rose completed a Christmas countdown calendar for her granchildren, Ella and Charlie! She has done a beautiful job!!!

SCRAP NIGHT

Last Friday our scrap/patch group met and decided to continue on into the night! It ended up being a "Scrap 'til Midnight" evening! We had takeaway tea from the Tavern - fish 'n chips. Ladies that were able to come for part or the full day were - Jillian, Emily, Rose, Dee, Linda and Belinda. As it was also the start of basketball we had a few people popping in to visit us and have a look at what we were doing!!! A GREAT NIGHT, and HOPE TO DO IT AGAIN ONE DAY, probably after harvest!

Another holiday layout completed for the album of our trip around Australia! This is of our ride on The Wheel of Brisbane - giving us good views of the city!

Another easy layout completed at the retreat. Used alot of "Pearls" - very effective!

Front page of the Travel Album we completed with tutor Sharon Manning at the Hyden Retreat! I actually added a couple of extra pages, now I have to add the travel photos!!!

RETREAT AT HYDEN!

Dee and I have just returned from the Hyden retreat! We both had a great time and came back quite tried! I feel it was the best retreat that I have attended to date! Next one is on 26-28th March 2010, so hope you Condi girls and our Dongara friend (ex-condi) and our town friend can come next time! Thanks to Karen, Sharon, Gayle and Lis and helpers for a fantastic weekend! Linda S

First Christmas

This is a class taught to us by Lis Cassey -"Be Merry" - layout of my grand-daughter's first Christmas. Loved the lace doily that we used at the back of the photos and patterned papers. This one also required a bit of machine sewing to construct the pocket to slip a piece of journaling into!
