Another Little Grand-daughter To Love

Our second grandchild arrived today- a little girl - Mietta Jay. And of course I didn't wait any time doing a layout of her once I returned home from the hospital visit. A very simple layout that took 15 minutes from start to finish!

Some of my layouts from the Condi Retreat

I did more but I will probably enter them into the Esperance Show so I thought I had better not publish them on the blog

Recent Condingup Retreat Layouts

Some examples of the layouts I completed at our recent Retreat. Karen Smith was our tutor and we did layouts to include ten or more photos; use of alcoholic inks, use of and application of grommets, and the use of a label maker. Also some "make and take" gift boxes (off the page project). It was a great weekend with friends, old and new!!!

Cousins Layout

Finally found a layout to do using up papers that Karen Smith gave us as a gift at the last Condingup Retreat. Added a 'Cousins' paper split one quarter so can sit in an album as a double page.

Some Great Drawings by Fred

My first go at using Sizzix lettering and the Xyron Sticker maker. It was a bit sticky and fiddly, but definitely worth the effort!

Little William

Another simple layout of my friend's baby, William at 13 days old.
Used "Making Memories" Animal Crackers (Ella Giraffes) paper and cut into strips and taped onto to bazzill with little gaps between. Finished it off with little embellishments and ribbon.

Peas In A Pod

A simple layout completed on a "Making Memories" printed die-cut page.
I cut the scrolls out to frame the photo and bring the detailed scrolling into focus.

Its been a while

My life has been pretty hectic lately but i have tried to get some layo9uts done nothing fancy just simple(the way i like it) havent caught up with the girls for ages but hopefully will get togehter with them soon (sorry girls).
This layout i did i love it is all about my motherinlaw who is very special to me i was experimenting with circles and frames I LOVE CIRCLES im right into them at the moment i think they look real effective.

This layout is of my boy and the different personalties he has he is definetly one of a kind, but i wouldnt have it any other way. the paper embellishments i have used i won at a recent TLC workshop i attended they were just right for the job.

Nice simple layout of my daughter who is always asking WHY i experimented with my photos and even tore the paper really happy with the end result.

Dorothy the Dinosaur...

When we visited Dreamworld on a recent trip to Queensland. Darcy saw Dorothy ran up and gave her a big hug... Only problem being that he jumped the queue of kids waiting by the time his turn came up he was over it and wouldn't go anywhere near her...lol

Baby Layout- William John

I completed this layout last night, first for awhile. It is of a friend's (Joanne) baby, William. He is ten hours old and a real cutie! Joanne has joined our group from time to time to scrapbook.

Patchwork Quilt for future grandchild

This is why I haven't completed any scrapbooking layouts lately. I've been busy trying to complete this quilt as our grandchild is due next month. Just need to add a couple of pigs and a rooster to the farmyard scene, some eyes to the people and animals, then sew a coloured stripey border on and red binding. Thanks to Belinda for your help and advice on a border fabric. So watch this post for the finished article.

MOVIE WORLD

I'm back at last it

has taken me 3 days to scrap this double layout of our day trip to Movie world. I used Bazzill bling background and all the patterned papers are from the Kaisercraft "Reminise range" and my good old sizzix for the letters. The pages fold up the eyelets run the seam to expose journaling and more photos

A School Moment

These school photos are of my brother's two children, Holly and Edward, taken in Feb'08. I decided to do a simple layout with Kaiser paper, rub-ons and then added a ribbon down the side with a couple of knots tired in it. I had seen the idea in a magazine but with lots of thinner ribbon and knots and thought it looked effective!

Daddy and Me

A double layout of photos of my grand-daughter and her daddy, Ashley. Mischa is now 20 months old and just adores her dad. We visited them in Dunsborough recently after not seeing them for a few months and Mischa had certainly grown.

My Hobart Trip

I have just returned from a nice week long break in Hobart seeing my brother's family. I have some photos to get printed and scrap soon. Some photos taken were of a day trip to Ross, an interesting town with a lot of history, and a couple of visits to the movies where we spoilt ourselves and viewed the films in GOLD CLASS, sitting in comfortable reclinable lounge chairs, waiter service for snacks etc. A bit of a treat! Another outing was to the Salamanca Markets which are held every Saturday of the year! One of my 'must do' when in Hobart.

Summer Palace, Beijing

My neice Holly visited Beijing a couple of years ago with her family. These photos were taken at the Summer Palace in the winter. The pond had frozen over and was about 2 feet thick of ice. A nice simple layout! Holly has heaps of photos to scrap of their holiday so this is hopefully the start of many more scrapbook pages!!!

Holly's layout - Russell Falls,Tasmania

Another layout from Holly of her family visiting Russell Falls in Tasmania a couple of years ago.
This one she used a circle punch and stick-on alphabet letters for the title, vellum paper through the printer to print the leaves which she then cut out, and quilling paper strips to finish it off. LOOKS GREAT!

Mischa

I have just returned from Hobart where my neice Holly lives. While there we did some scrapbooking together. This is one of Holly's layouts of her second cousin Mischa, simple but effective!

Annie's on the move

I bought a sizzix machine ages ago and I haven't used it much until the kids bought me one of those xyron sticker makers for christmas and lately the combination have been my favourite.

I'm back...

I saw this type of layout with the blank coloured paper and I have been meaning to do one for ages. I think it has turned out quite effective and I used photo corners which I have owned for years but just haven't found the right place to use them... Love using stuff out of my stash justifies having it all.
