Inspired

After the retreat that I have been going on about for the last few blog entries I called in at Karen Smiths shop at Hyden on the way home. After a short conversation Amy questioned whether I shouldnt be sick of scrapbooking after a whole weekend of it and I must say I actually find them inspiring they get the creative juices flowing again. Here are another 3 layouts I have done since I have got home, I think I am always going to make kits from now on

Seal Bay

Quite like how this one turned out! Split a large star, divided it and added the photos etc.
These seals are in a colony on Kangaroo Island, we were on a guided tour (only way to do it), so were able to get down onto the beach to view them within metres!

Grandma

On our trip around Australia, we visited my Grandma in Buberim, Q'ld. She is 94 years old now and still has her memory and sense of humour! One amazing woman!!

For the layout I used up some scrap papers & bits - something I should do a bit more often!

Double layouts from the retreat

This is the last of my retreat layouts, as you can see I got alot done. This was due to the fact that I preorganised my photos and papers into kits and used pagemaps from Becky Flecks website.
I have a few kits left over so I will be completing those over the next few weeks

The Pelican Man

A double page layout of some holiday photos of pelicans that we fed on Kangaroo Island, S.A. Quite happy with how the pages turned out, after getting an idea from one of Gayle's layouts recently!

Mietta's 1st Birthday

Last night we celebrated Mietta's belated first birthday! Granny (me) made her a butterfly cake. She thought the coloured lollies were okay!

Scrapbooking retreat in Jarrahdale

Yes thats right I have been to yet another retreat at this rate I will catch up on my scrapbooking in no time.. It was a really good weekend I was a bit nervous about going on my own and having to bunk with complete strangers but it was really good these are some of the layouts I did there are alot more but I will post them in the next day or two

We're Home!l

Well, we are back, after three and a half months on the road going around Oz. What a beautiful country! We have so much to see and do!

Took lots of photos, so hopefully in the coming weeks I'll get organised and off CLOUD 9, and scrap some of them!!!

Today our little grand-daughter Mietta came to visit, she is now one year old, has four teeth, chatters away and walking everywhere confidently!

We missed everyone so much!

Dee & I prepaid for places in the upcoming SCRAPBOOKING CAMP in Jarrahdale. Due to a conflict in dates Dee can no longer attend. She is unable to get a refund on her spot but apparently she can transfer the place to someone else. War wound recovery

After the retreat I stayed in Perth with my granmother and had all 4 of my wisdom teeth surgically removed. I was required to stay in Perth for the rest of the week after the op and as I had all my scrapbooking supplies on board I couldnt think of a better way to recover and this is what I managed to achieve

Recent retreat

Dee and I recently attended a scrapbooking camp in Baldivis. It was a really good weekend about 12 girls I think, no set classes so basically time out to solely concentrate on scrapbooking and I managed these layouts over the weekend. I got to use my new cricut and I seemed to be doing alot of sewing on my layout recently I also did a bit of layering using chipboard but you cant really tell in these photos

Hi Everyone,
Find below a couple of layouts of our trip, so far! We are having a rest in Cairns so will try to do a few layouts & put them on the blog! Today I visited a scrapbooking shop in Babinda, just south of Cairns, had a good time having a quick look through! Lost City

Another layout, this one is of the Lost City, in the Litchfield National Park, NT. The sandstone outcrops and pillars look like a city ruin!
